Long time listener, first time commenter. A great episode (building on all the great ones before it), I’ve never thought so much about dining rooms before. This episode really got me interested in the whole class structure vs. where the dining area is located in a home. The pics you shared remind me of those bold color schemes of the ‘70s and of the “Company or Special Event Only” dining rooms that were to be seen but only rarely to be used.
